of how perfect you are

But words can never suffice

Because nobody else can grasp it from letters on a screen.

Nobody else can see what you are to me.

There are no words

but three.

I love you.

It’s crazy the memories a picture can spark
The feelings rush back
and suddenly you’re in that moment in time
with those people and those thoughts
and sometimes you forget
but you’ll always have that image
still and frozen to keep forever
watching how you’ve changed and
wondering how.

I’ve held on for so long
just as you have
but I’m ready now
to let go
to let you begin another chapter
to create another story

You are my whole heart
kind, and caring, and pure
you carry me on your shoulders
and make sure I am steady
